Job Summary
The VA Processor I, Government Funding Programs certifies student enrollments, term dates, credit loads, tuition and fees, and changes using the VA Enrollment Manager, monitors enrollment changes to ensure VA payments align with requirements, and submits tuition and fee adjustments to prevent overpayments. The role maintains compliance with VA and state regulations governing education benefits, keeps current on VA regulatory updates and Enrollment Manager system changes, and coordinates with academic advising, bursar, financial aid, registrar, and other offices to provide accurate and timely benefit information. The incumbent assists veterans and eligible dependents in understanding enrollment consequences, participates in implementing related projects, and completes mandatory VA SCO training (initial and annual). A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least one year of experience in a highly regulated environment (finance, higher education). Knowledge of Federal Student Aid and/or military funding, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office, is required, along with strong attention to detail.
