V - Retail Assistant (All Duties)

Greet customers warmly, guide them through store areas, and assist with donations and material aid referrals. Process sales transactions at the point of sale and answer enquiries in-store and over the phone. Maintain store appearance by ensuring clear thoroughfares, clean floors, and fresh displays under store manager guidance. Inspect items for sale, apply detailed quality control, and prepare goods through steaming, cleaning, and packaging. Price items according to standards and sort unsuitable stock into recyclable or waste areas. Adhere to safe work practices, child safe policies, and keep staff amenities hazard-free. This role supports the store manager in fostering inclusiveness and community spirit while providing on-the-job training for retail and donation valuation skills.
