Job Summary
V.I.E Electrical Design Engineer tasked with creating and maintaining electrical wiring diagrams and harness documentation, modifying baseline designs for customer-specific Electrical customizations, defining wire routing, harness layouts, pin assignments, and labeling to ensure consistency across schematics and installation documentation. Will support production and assembly teams through on-site checks to verify wiring installation and troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure feasibility, compliance, and continuous improvement of wiring standards. The role emphasizes entry-level V.I.E program requirements (EU-graduate aged 18-28) and a degree in electrical or aerospace engineering, with proficiency in See Electrical, EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools, and strong ability to read technical drawings; location is Donauwörth, Germany, with in-person work arrangement, and potential for permanent employment with ALTEN worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- complete an electrical or aerospace engineering degree or comparable studies
- experience with electrical design tools such as See Electrical, EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar CAD tools
- solid knowledge of electrical wiring and harness design and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
- understand manufacturing and installation constraints and be familiar with configuration management and design change processes
- EU-graduate aged 18 to 28
- EU citizenship
- willingness to gain work experience in Germany
