Job Summary
UXO Technician I for MEC-related activities on an upcoming project in Redfield, SD. Responsibilities include safely operating the assigned vehicle on-site, on-the-job training with geophysical equipment used for MEC-related activities, assisting with on-site demilitarization of munitions of explosive concern and handling of demolition materials, assisting in the inspection of MPPEH for safe transfer within or release from DoD control, and possible travel to client sites nationwide. Requires OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training with annual refresher, EOD training (US or allied nation) and applicable DoD explosives-safety experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, English fluency, and adherence to health and safety protocols. Required Qualifications
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- annual 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher
- Valid state driver’s license
- pass a motor vehicle background
- Graduate of US EOD school or Allied Nation EOD school or accredited comparable UXO Technician Level I training
- experience as required by DDESB TP 18
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Travel extensively to client sites and/or project locations nationwide
- Must be fluent in English
- Must comply with health and safety practices and COVID-19 regulations
