Job Summary
UXO Diver to conduct underwater surveys to locate, identify, and assist with removal of underwater UXO on environmental cleanup projects. Operates surface-supplied air (SSA) and SCUBA diving systems, documents findings and project data, maintains and inspects diving/UXO detection equipment, and adheres to OSHA/USACE/DoD environmental regulations. Collaborates with dive personnel, EHS staff, engineers, and project managers; demonstrates advanced diving and ordnance recognition skills in challenging environments. Requires graduation from an accredited commercial diving school, ADCI or equivalent certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, and HAZWOPER; EOD graduate certificate strongly preferred; 5+ years of underwater UXO experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited commercial diving school
- ADCI or equivalent commercial diver certification
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- HAZWOPER (40-hour) certification (or 8Hr Refresher)
- EOD Graduate Certificate strongly preferred
- IMCA certification preferred
- 5+ years of documented experience in underwater UXO operations
