UX/UI Design Intern

Job Summary
Work with Product Owners, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business problems and user needs, then translate those insights into intuitive user flows and digital experiences. Create interactive prototypes using modern design and AI-assisted tools to allow early user evaluation and rapid iteration. Observe user behavior, challenge existing workflows, and collaborate with AI Software Engineers to validate solutions before production. Contribute to the organization's design system while ensuring accessibility and consistency throughout the process. Present prototypes to stakeholders and explore multiple approaches to simplify complex interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a 4-year college degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication Design, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
- Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma or similar platforms
- Strong interest in user experience, interaction design, product design, and technology
- Ability to think about complex processes from the perspective of the person performing them
- Curiosity about user behavior and an instinct for simplifying complex interactions
- Ability to think beyond existing screens and workflows to imagine simpler ways for users to accomplish an outcome
- Strong visual and conceptual communication skills
- Interest in creating interactive and functional prototypes rather than only static visual designs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work through ambiguous concepts and rapidly explore potential solutions
- Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively with business and technical partners
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping tools is a plus but not required
- Coursework, personal projects, portfolios, or other examples demonstrating an interest in user experience and problem-solving are preferred
