UX Strategist, Optimization & Analytics
$120,000–$120,000 year
On-siteCharleston, South Carolina, United States
Job Summary
Own end-to-end optimization strategy for eCommerce clients, setting direction from measurement design through roadmap to results. Analyze onsite performance data using GA4, Shopify, and testing tools to identify friction points and connect user behavior to business KPIs like CVR, AOV, and LTV. Lead A/B testing programs by defining hypotheses, partnering with design and development teams, and scaling winning solutions. Build custom event architectures, conversion funnels, and dashboards that make performance instantly legible, then turn dense analytics into a narrative that moves stakeholders to act. Serve as the strategic lead for clients, guiding decisions with authority and bridging data, UX, and business strategy into a coherent point of view.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years in UX, CRO, Product Analytics, or Digital Strategy, with demonstrated ownership of optimization strategy — not just execution
- Proven track record of driving measurable business impact through data-driven optimization
- Deep expertise in Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify analytics & reporting, and A/B testing platforms (e.g. Optimizely, Convert, Shoplift, VWO, Intelligems)
- Strong command of GA4 event architecture, including custom event design, funnel setup, and debugging tracking issues
- Skilled at analyzing multi-step conversion funnels and user journeys to identify drop-offs and opportunities
- Ability to translate raw, complex data into clear reporting and executive-level insight — this is a core strength, not a secondary skill
- Strong quantitative skillset with the ability to interpret complex, ambiguous datasets
- Ability to connect user behavior with business performance and financial outcomes
- Experience owning and prioritizing optimization roadmaps
- Hands-on experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests
- Strong understanding of experimentation frameworks and statistical significance
- Ability to lead and scale experimentation programs across multiple initiatives
- Exceptional storytelling ability — translating dense data into a clear, actionable, business-relevant narrative
- Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders in a consultative, advisory capacity
- Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making through data-backed narrative
- Demonstrated ability to lead optimization strategy across design, development, and product teams
- Ability to drive execution and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Strong ownership, organization, and accountability
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in eCommerce, subscription models, or DTC brands
- Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, FullStory, Elevar, Looker, or BigQuery
- Background in UX design or product strategy
