UX Researcher III - AI Products

Job Summary
Translate product team requests into clear research questions and appropriate study methodologies for a new AI-powered business assistant. Design and execute qualitative research including in-depth interviews, diary studies, concept testing, usability studies, and microsurveys. Moderate remote live sessions, facilitate asynchronous studies, and develop discussion guides, screeners, and task protocols. Analyze and code qualitative data to identify patterns and actionable insights, then develop evidence-based readouts for Product, Design, Engineering, and Research stakeholders. Use AI-enabled research tools to accelerate study design, moderation, analysis, and synthesis. Manage research at a rapid cadence, potentially supporting studies weekly, while partnering with UX Research, Product, Design, and Engineering teams in a fast-moving environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 7 years of qualitative UX research experience
- Hands on experience with in depth interviews, diary studies, concept testing, and usability research
- Strong remote moderation experience
- Experience developing research plans, discussion guides, screeners, and study protocols
- Strong qualitative analysis, synthesis, and insight development skills
- Experience producing actionable research readouts for Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders
- Ability to independently manage research from initial question through final findings
- Experience working in a fast paced, cross functional product environment
- Bachelor's degree in social science, HCI, research, or a related field, or equivalent applied experience
- English (Required)
Desired Qualifications
- B2B, SMB, advertising, or business product research experience
- Research panel or research community experience
- Experience researching AI powered products or human and AI interactions
- Familiarity with AI enabled research tools, AI moderators, synthesis assistants, or similar workflows
- Experience with dscout or comparable remote research platforms
- Experience using AI tools to improve research speed and efficiency
- West coast preferred
