UX director, Rakuten24 - FMCG Customer Strategy Department (C&M)

Job Summary
Research user segment insights and discuss hypotheses with stakeholders to plan, implement, and verify UX improvements for Rakuten24's e-commerce sites. Design KPIs, collaborate with brand managers on project planning, and execute UI/UX enhancements through A/B testing. Conduct user interviews and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to drive store homepage renewals and product recommendation optimizations. This role directs page production and UX strategy within the FMCG Customer Strategy Department, leveraging data-driven decision-making and Rakuten's internal business processes from procurement to logistics.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX design and direction for web services and/or websites
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in UX design (e.g., websites, app development, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience conducting user interviews and usability tests, from understanding the business situation to selecting and implementing appropriate research methods and analyzing the results.
- Experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, identifying issues, and implementing improvement processes based on research results.
- Experience with UI design and visual design.
- Experience extracting and analyzing data (SQL, R, etc.).
- Experience improving UX through A/B test design, implementation, and result analysis.
- TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability) or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country.
