Job Summary
Observe in-store Team Member workflows to identify friction, workarounds, training gaps, and adoption barriers. Lead UX design for high-frequency, compliance-driven retail and financial transactions, architecting workflows for item intake, pricing, customer profiles, loyalty enrollment, inventory management, loan processing, payments, and fraud mitigation. Design UI logic focused on data accuracy, keyboard-first and mobile navigation, validation, and error prevention. Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, risk, compliance, and legal teams to align on business rules and disclosures. Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and annotated design specifications for transactional systems, delivering pixel-perfect, production-ready UI designs. Validate designs through usability testing, workshops, and iterative reviews to reduce keystrokes and minimize operational errors. Contribute to and evolve design systems with components optimized for operational workflows, applying AI-assisted design tools to accelerate prototyping.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of UX/UI design experience focused on operational workflows, internal tools, or transaction processing systems
- Strong expertise in information architecture, form design, workflow optimization, and conditional logic
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining design systems and component libraries
- Advanced visual design skills with attention to typography, color, spacing, and hierarchy
- Proven ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into clean, usable UI flows
- Proficiency with Figma, including Figma AI features and Figma Make
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams
- Clear communication of design rationale to technical teams and leadership
- Curiosity and adaptability toward emerging design technologies and AI-assisted workflows
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with item valuation, customer onboarding, identity verification, loyalty programs, or payment capture systems
- Background designing task-oriented interfaces for non-desk users in high-volume retail environments
- Experience with AI-assisted prototyping tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Figma AI
- Understanding of stateful prototyping, including focus states, transitions, loading states, and interaction sequences
- Experience with prompt engineering for design workflows
- Familiarity with voice, conversational, or multimodal interface patterns
- Exposure to AI-assisted features with trust, transparency, and override mechanisms
- Understanding of computer vision interfaces for retail or checkout use cases
- Portfolio demonstrating AI-assisted design iterations and workflow evolution
