UX Design Engineer (Ireland Remote)

Own the Oomnitza design system end-to-end, managing visual language, interaction patterns, accessibility guardrails, and rules that keep the product unified. Maintain and extend the Storybook component library to ensure components are correct, documented, performant, accessible, and easy for Product Engineers to compose. Build and maintain prototyping tooling including design tokens, AI-prompt scaffolds, and design markdowns that enable Product Engineers to move from idea to validated prototype in days. Consult with Product Engineers on interactions outside existing patterns to produce new patterns, components, or guidance, and partner with engineering to keep the design system and implementation library aligned. Hold the quality bar for design output across the team by reviewing prototypes against the system and flagging drift. Track the design-engineering space, including Figma plugins and AI design tooling, to propose investments that make the team faster.
