Job Summary
Upkeep, sanitize, and detail buses and support vehicles to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for riders and staff. Perform general building and grounds upkeep, including custodial tasks and minor repairs, ensuring facilities are clean, orderly, and operating safely. Conduct basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire swaps under training and supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Support operations with miscellaneous responsibilities including moving equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with special projects. On-the-job training is provided with no prior transit experience required. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, pass a drug test and background check, and be at least 21 years old. Salary ranges from $18 to $20 per hour with flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types
- An action-oriented executor: you take initiative to solve problems and get the job done
- Successful completion of a drug test, criminal background check, and motor vehicle records check is mandatory for employment
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical
- Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets
- At least 21 years old
- Able to interview in person at the Mobile office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
