Job Summary
Conduct on-site facilities support services including office moving, furniture installation, relocation, and special event setup/teardown. Perform routine moving, packing, unpacking, minor furniture repair, and inventorying facilities storage. Hang white boards, tack boards, and signs while maintaining a clean working environment. Operate a box truck for excess property pickup and deliver supplies to campus locations. Monday through Thursday from 5:30 am to 3 pm, with Fridays from 5:30 am to 2 pm; every other Friday is off. Overtime required on occasion. Must be authorized to work in the United States, hold a valid driver's license, and be able to lift 50 pounds without mechanical assistance. Training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to perform work requests
- Must have a valid driver's license (preferably CA)
- Must be able to work in and maintain a clean working environment
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass all security screening requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairways
- Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, twist, reach, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, and balance
- Must be able to lift, carry, drag, or push, both alone and with help
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in moving, warehousing, and commercial furniture installation is desired, but not required
- Experience in driving a box truck (special license not required) preferred
