Job Summary
Excavate soil and perform repairs and connections on sanitary sewer lines using hand tools. Repairs, cleans, and maintains sewage plant infrastructure while assembling and disassembling barricades and shoring equipment. Collaborate with co-workers as a team under direct instruction and maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, and clearances. Work the assigned schedule, comply with city timekeeping policies, and respond to call-out service after hours when required. Perform moderate to heavy physical labor including lifting, kneeling, and standing for prolonged periods in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including lifting and carrying materials, kneeling, crouching and bending; pushing, pulling and reaching; and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements
- Must have the ability to work with co-workers as a team as instructed
- Must be available for call out service after hours
- Must be available for shift work
