Job Summary
Experienced Utility/Water Treatment Technician (Level III or IV) sought for Alberta assignment. Role involves 12-hour shifts, 6 days per week on active projects. Must hold Level III or IV Water Treatment certificate and a valid Class 5 or G driver’s license. Responsibilities include operating municipal water treatment facility equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing plant performance, interpreting blueprints/drawings, calculating chemical dosages and flow metrics, handling hazardous chemicals in confined spaces, guiding on-site technicians, collaborating across departments, and providing remote monitoring support for rural facilities. Requires minimum 3 years of experience, strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, and fluent English. Travel and lodging arrangements provided when required; accommodations available for candidates with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Level III or Level IV Water Treatment certificate
- Class 5 or G driver’s license
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Ability to operate municipal water treatment facility equipment
