Job Summary
Experienced Utility/Water Treatment Technician (Level III/IV) sought for an upcoming assignment in Alberta. 12-hour shifts, 6 days per week. Responsibilities include operating municipal water treatment plant equipment, troubleshooting, optimizing plant performance, reading blueprints, calculating dosages, remote monitoring support for rural facilities. Qualifications include Level III or IV Water Treatment certificate, Class 5/G driver's license, 3+ years experience, proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, and strong math skills. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, comfortable in confined spaces, and fluent in English. Travel and accommodations provided as needed. Required Qualifications
- Level III Water Treatment certificate
- Level IV Water Treatment certificate
- Class 5 driver's license
- G driver's license
- 3+ years experience in water treatment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings
- Ability to calculate chemical dosages and related volumes
- Ability to operate municipal water treatment equipment and related machinery
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 6 days/week
- Fluent English (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and with hazardous chemicals
- Provide technician guidance and collaborate with other departments
- Remote monitoring capabilities for rural facilities
