Job Summary
Entry Level Utilities Laborer responsible for unloading pipe and precast structures, rigging for pipe layer, keeping the job site clean, following foreman/superintendent directions, attending training at the HGC Academy, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires effective communication with supervisors and teammates, willingness to learn, ability to work 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (with potential Saturdays), pass pre-employment drug/background checks, reliable transportation, and ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting 40–80 lbs) outdoors in all weather. Located in Charlotte, NC within the HGC 65-mile radius; company offers comprehensive benefits and an ESOP program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM, or other schedule as may be assigned by the foreman or superintendent, as well as Saturdays when needed
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates
- Must be able to understand site goals and direction
- Must be able to stand/sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting 40-80 lbs
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
