Job Summary
Perform daily wastewater plant activities including raking bar screens, checking grit chambers, and conducting maintenance and repair projects. Maintain compliance with organizational policies, state, and federal laws while executing install, repair, cleaning, and housekeeping duties. Assist in maintenance checks, sampling, troubleshooting, and composting activities, alongside propane and utility locating tasks. Develop a working knowledge of safety considerations for excavation, confined spaces, electrical, mechanical, and hazardous materials. This role supports the Utilities Department at Glorieta Adventure Camps, a Christian outdoor adventure camp in Northern New Mexico, ensuring safe water standards for guests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles as needed
- The desire and ability to test for the New Mexico Wastewater Operator certification
- A personal relationship with Christ that permeates all aspects of their life

- The ability to perform routine tasks and checks in a timely manner
- Working knowledge of the operation, methods, and procedures of utility work with an emphasis on being a water/wastewater operator
- Working knowledge of the machinery used for excavation and construction
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and preventative maintenance and repair
