Job Summary

The Utility System Technician-Associate Level Wastewater position involves general maintenance of sewer systems and requires a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and a Colorado CDL Class A license.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have or obtain Colorado Class I certification in Water Distribution and/or Wastewater Collection within one year of employment
  • BNSF Railroad Safety Certification
  • Union Pacific Railroad Safety Certification
  • Flagger certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • A valid Colorado CDL Class A drivers license
  • A valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of public works and of wastewater and stormwater systems construction, operation, and maintenance
  • Knowledge of city safety policies and procedures
  • Good customer service skills

Additional Requirements

  • This is a safety sensitive position requiring participation in a pre-employment, for-cause, and random drug testing program.
