Job Summary
Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans. Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or malfunctions immediately. Transport supplies, assist in dining area setup, and clean dining and serving areas throughout and after meal periods. Use a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans. Maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping floors, and trash removal. Assist with receiving and storing food products while following correct food handling procedures. Perform all duties according to food safety and sanitation best practices. Varied schedules with evening dinner service required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Previous utility/dishwasher experience
- Ability to measure products and convert units of measure
- Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment
- Good communication skills
- Varied schedules with evenings required for dinner service
