Job Summary
Perform dish and pot washing, trash control, and general cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining room area. Set up and maintain the pot and dish washing area, distribute clean utensils, and clean production equipment according to schedules. Assist in food preparation, ordering, and storage of products while notifying the Director of Food and Beverage of any equipment malfunctions. Maintain a safe, organized environment for residents and disclose any impairing medications. Requires a high school education, ability to work with senior citizens, and completion of HRA University courses. Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Clearinghouse is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school education
- Must disclose any medication that might impair associate's ability to perform the job safely or competently
- Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens
- Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis
- Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalent
- Becomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuation
- All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents
- Must possess a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cooking for large groups a plus
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures preferred
