Utility Shipper / Receiver - 1st Shift (Warehouse)

Job Summary
Package and ship all outgoing material while verifying incoming materials against documentation, weighing, and counting parts to ensure vendor accuracy. Coordinate with departments to meet shipping requirements, distribute packages, and prepare rejected material for vendor return. Maintain inventory levels by utilizing the website to confirm skid requirements, create bills of lade, and manage shipping supply inventory including skids and pallets. Answer trucker inquiries, pull customer schedules and orders, and re-skip miters to keep shipments moving efficiently. Always double-verify orders before departure and take pictures for specific customer shipments.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- One year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in shipping/receiving in a production/manufacturing environment
- Completion of forklift certification
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques with emphasis on Standardized Work, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and JIT principles
- Ability to work overtime as needed both daily and weekends
