Utility Services Technician II

Job Summary
Pair utility owners and cable sizes while operating and maintaining vacuum excavation trucks. Support survey staff with utility services tasks and differentiate between quality levels of SUE. Travel up to 60% of the time, working primarily in the field involving long-term standing, frequent walking, and exposure to extreme weather, dust, and noise. Carry, lift, and push/pull loads up to 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, navigating rough terrain while standing for up to 12 hours. Weekend, overtime, and overnight work may be required. Join NV5's Utility Services team to help clients plan, design, build, and operate projects that improve communities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of utility designation experience
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
- Ability to travel (up to 60% of the time)
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk
- Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with iPad or tablet, a plus
