Job Summary
Conduct on-site construction inspections for concurrent utility projects, including water distribution, sewer collection, and electrical systems. Review designs prior to construction to verify accuracy of drawing markups and as-builts, while supporting specification of client design and material standards. Provide weekly construction reports and schedule status to the project team, reporting material received and completed units for invoicing. Lead pre-construction meetings to ensure safe working practices and environment compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree in construction management or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skills
- Take personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work product
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Work independently or in a team environment
- Must be able to routinely lift up to 30lbs
- Ability to travel
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Knowledge of water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems
- Knowledge of electrical 480V and below
- Knowledge of Generator Power Systems and Automatic Transfer Switches
- Knowledge of construction standards, industry best practices, project management methods and concepts, budgeting and cost management, engineering principles, and electrical theory
- Knowledge of materials and tools used in construction, construction safety principles and practices, and National Electric Safety Code
- Knowledge of procurement, design, and processes
- Skilled in working across organizations to coordinate construction activities and communications
- Skilled in time management, prioritizing, and managing changing priorities
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
