Utility Scale Heavy Civil Division Manager

Job Summary

Lead all aspects of Heavy Civil operations across multiple utility-scale construction projects, including mass earthwork, site development, grading, drainage systems, and erosion control. Build and mentor a high-performing team of Superintendents, Foremen, and field leaders while ensuring manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors are properly planned and coordinated. Drive operational consistency through production monitoring, scheduling, forecasting, and budget management, partnering closely with Project Managers and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and maintain strong relationships with customers, General Contractors, and stakeholders. Approximately 25% travel each month to project sites nationwide is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience, including utility-scale power, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience leading multiple crews, Superintendents, and large-scale Heavy Civil operations
  • Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, GPS machine control, grading technology, and production management
  • Demonstrated experience with production planning, scheduling, manpower forecasting, equipment planning, and resource allocation
  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing operational budgets and project performance
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, project teams, and executive leadership
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Ability to travel as required to support projects, customers, and company operations
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Approximately 25% travel each month to project sites nationwide
