Job Summary
Lead strategic operations for Heavy Civil divisions across utility-scale projects, overseeing mass earthwork, grading, site development, and stormwater infrastructure. Build and mentor high-performing teams of Superintendents and foremen while coordinating manpower, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure safe, productive project delivery. Drive operational excellence through production planning, budget management, and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with executive leadership and customers to resolve challenges proactively. Requires 10+ years in Heavy Civil, 25% monthly travel, and a commitment to safety and core values.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of Heavy Civil construction experience, including utility-scale power, renewable energy, or large infrastructure projects
- Proven experience leading multiple crews, Superintendents, and large-scale Heavy Civil operations
- Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure, erosion and sediment control, GPS machine control, grading technology, and production management
- Demonstrated experience with production planning, scheduling, manpower forecasting, equipment planning, and resource allocation
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing operational budgets and project performance
- Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, project teams, and executive leadership
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, accountability, and operational excellence
- Ability to travel as required to support projects, customers, and company operations
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Approximately 25% travel each month to project sites nationwide
