Job Summary
Front counter inside sales role at Packer Fastener focusing on front counter sales, quotes, sourcing, and order entry to support store profitability. Responsibilities include expediting orders for will-call, replenishing front room inventory, handling returns with same-day processing, maintaining a neat front counter, managing the Expedite Screen for packing and shipping branch deliveries, stocking point-of-purchase items, and replenishing distribution center inventory during downtime. Requires strong sales aptitude, knowledge of product lines and pricing, basic math, excellent communication, critical thinking, self-motivation, ability to multitask, and lifting up to 75 lbs; must have a valid driver’s license and proficiency with MS Office and database software.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Exhibits company Swagger
- A strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell
- Knowledge of product lines and pricing structure
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think critically and solve practical problems
- Ability to be a self-starter, handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail, and strong time management skills
- The ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weight 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
- Proficient in common computer software including Microsoft Office and database software
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through company's auto insurance carrier according to company Driver Safety Policy.
