Job Summary
Utility Sales Representative in Columbus responsible for developing and expanding relationships with current and prospective customers, meeting KPI goals in Sales Revenue, Gross Profit, Pricing Structure, Sales Orders, and Quotes, developing Outside Sales, Inside Sales and VMI, participating in Branch L10 and Manager 1-1 Meetings, and assisting in day-to-day branch operations including front counter sales, quoting, order entry, and delivery. As a Packer Fastener team member, provide hourly pay with profit-sharing bonus eligibility, comprehensive benefits, flexible schedules, and career growth opportunities. Requires high school education or equivalent and strong sales aptitude, knowledge of product lines and pricing, basic math skills, excellent communication, critical thinking, self-motivation, multitasking, and ability to lift 25-75 lbs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software, and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent.
- A strong aptitude for sales and a desire to sell.
- Knowledge of product lines and pricing structure.
- Basic math skills with the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and solve practical problems.
- Ability to be a self-starter, handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
- The ability to lift, slide, and lower packages that typically weight 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs.
- Proficient in common computer software including Microsoft Office and database software.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to obtain coverage through company's auto insurance carrier according to company Driver Safety Policy.
