Job Summary
Fill in for employees during breaks and absences while maintaining plant operations quality. Fully operate all necessary equipment in the assigned area and record downtime, can loss, lot numbers, temperature, and other report documents. Ensure all areas are cleaned to standard and perform weekly sanitation. Participate in team meetings to foster cohesiveness regarding direction, annual plans, and policy changes, actively resolving issues to achieve synergy. Maintain familiarity with Simmons operating systems and communicate improvement ideas. Work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes, on feet for an entire shift, lifting up to 75 pounds while wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Must be able to work in a busy, noisy, dusty environment with temperature extremes
- Must be able to work on feet for an entire shift
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to obtain and maintain company issued forklift license
