Job Summary
Develop and execute major pricing and costing strategies while leading project teams to prepare rate design proposals and regulatory filings. Integrate with managers, sales, product developers, and regulatory departments to create competitive pricing models and profitability analyses. Perform financial and market analysis to solve complex pricing problems and develop risk management strategies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related area with 6 years of experience and advanced computer modeling skills. Salary ranges from $112,200 to $147,600 annually. Xcel Energy serves 3.4 million electricity and 1.9 million natural gas customers across eight Western and Midwestern states.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related area
- 6 years experience in a related area
- 5 years experience in regulatory pricing
- General knowledge of competitive energy markets and retail energy service provider strategies and operations
- Advanced computer modeling skills
Desired Qualifications
- Xcel Energy Pricing experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Understanding of uniform system of accounts (FERC)
- Understanding of cost-of-service revenue requirements and rate making
- Experience preparing testimony in regulated environment
- Experience navigating multiple stakeholder interests
- Presenting on technical topics
