Job Summary
Operate excavators, backhoes, skid steers, dozers, and other utility construction equipment while following site plans, utility locates, and project specifications with precision. Perform trenching, expose existing utilities, and complete backfilling and compaction work as required. Conduct daily equipment inspections, reporting any maintenance needs or issues. Work closely with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines, ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Valid driver's license and experience in civil construction or underground utility installation required. Flexibility to work extended hours and shift rotations is necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a utility operator in civil construction or underground utility installation
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of underground utilities, trenching practices, and safe digging techniques
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in civil construction
- Flexibility to work extended hours and shift rotations as required
Desired Qualifications
- GPS experience (Topcon or Trimble)
