Job Summary
Utility Operator responsible for operating and maintaining highly automated systems and equipment, including forklift operation, 12-hour shift flexibility, and participation in safety programs. Tasks include daily 5S/housekeeping, reporting on safety, quality, and production metrics, assisting with process improvements, operating around automated machinery and robotics, completing maintenance on the bailer and receiving dock, managing scrap and BOLs, performing general housekeeping, and adhering to Food Safety policies (GMP/HACCP). Requires strong reading/comprehension of written documentation, attention to detail, teamwork, and effective communication. Physical duties and shift suitability are noted with a typical 40-hour workweek in Roanoke, VA. Education required: High School diploma or GED. Forklift and floor scrubber certification preferred.
