Job Summary
Monitor and control plant processes using DCS & PLC systems to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective production. Conduct regular equipment checks, troubleshoot operational issues, and maintain accurate daily logs. Assist in grain handling, shipping, and receiving operations while participating in the Quality Assurance program through sampling, testing, and record interpretation. Collaborate with the maintenance department to coordinate repairs, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and diagnose troubleshooting issues. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental programs while complying with city, county, state, and federal regulations. Work 12-hour rotating shifts (3-4 days per week) providing relief coverage for Process Operators.
Required Qualifications
- Monitor and control plant processes using DCS & PLC systems
- Conduct regular equipment checks and troubleshoot operational issues in the field
- Maintain accurate daily logs of plant equipment
- Assist in grain handling, shipping, and receiving operations
- Participate in the plant's Quality Assurance program, including sampling and testing process streams
- Communicate with the QA lab to implement policies and procedures
- Maintain QA records and interpret results, taking appropriate action as needed
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist maintenance technicians with repairs
- Help diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance-related issues
- Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental programs
- Comply with city, county, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor chemical inventories
- Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure consistent operations
- Contribute to the development and updates of operating procedures and training manuals
- Utilize provided computer systems for work orders, and production records
- Must be available for 12-hour rotating shifts (3-4 days per week)
- Must be able to provide essential relief coverage for Process Operators
