Job Summary
Utility Operator role performing multi-department tasks across shifts, with tasks ranging from operating a 11,000-ton forging press and machining parts for aerospace or military applications to operating a swing grinder or saw to cut Super Alloy material. Responsibilities include assisting in safe material handling with overhead cranes, setting controls for speed and feed, inspecting and maintaining tooling, performing routine maintenance on equipment, reading and following work orders and instructions, ensuring quality and safety per OSHA/MDSD/hazmat guidelines, and documenting operational data. The position emphasizes physical work, safety awareness, teamwork, ability to learn, and flexibility to operate multiple processes (Saw Operations, Forge, Heat Treat, Processing) as required, with a willingness to work overtime and varying shifts.
