Job Summary
Conduct daytime field locates for underground utilities including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. Thoroughly search designated areas, accurately mark locations, complete necessary documentation, and photograph each locate using best-in-class ticket and claims management systems. Work independently in a company-provided vehicle across various weather conditions, distinguishing color-coded wiring and referencing locate tickets, maps, and prints. This role requires valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts including nights. Compensation is $20.00 hourly with 100% paid training and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with technology
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Able to work in a confined space
- Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
- Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends)
