Job Summary

Conduct daytime field locates for underground utilities including telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems. Thoroughly search designated areas, accurately mark locations, complete necessary documentation, and photograph each locate using company-provided vehicles and ticket management systems. Work full-time hours with a 48-hour turnaround time, including overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call rotations as needed. Must possess a valid driver's license, pass a drug screen, and be able to lift up to 75 lbs in various weather conditions. No prior locating experience required, though training is provided on the first day.

Required Qualifications

  • Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Proficiency with technology
  • Able to pass a drug screen
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs
  • Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
  • Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints
  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
  • Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
