Job Summary
Conduct independent field work to locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems. Thoroughly search designated areas, accurately mark locations, complete necessary documentation, and photograph each locate using company-provided vehicles and technology. Perform daytime full-time work with a 48-hour turnaround time, requiring availability for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call rotations including nights and holidays. Maintain safety standards while working outdoors in various weather conditions and confined spaces, lifting up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with technology
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Able to work in a confined space
- Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
- Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends)
