Job Summary
Locate underground utilities including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems by thoroughly searching designated areas, accurately marking locations, completing documentation, and photographing each site. Work independently in the field using company-provided vehicles and best-in-class ticket management systems to ensure clear mark-out services for excavators and property owners. Daytime full-time positions require ability to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call rotations including nights and holidays, with a general 48-hour turnaround time. No prior experience is needed but proficiency with technology and a valid driver's license are required.
Required Qualifications
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with technology
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Able to work in a confined space
- Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
- Must be able to work overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts (including nights and weekends)
