Utility Locator

Screen and manage tickets for fiber locate requests, accurately marking routes to prevent construction damage. Drive fiber routes to inspect right-of-way areas for compliance, communicating with property owners and coordinating clearing bids. Respond to planned cable intrusions and hot tickets on a 24/7 on-call basis, performing maintenance inside Regen huts and acting as the point of contact for emergency repairs. Train new OSP technicians on protocols and support team members to meet operational standards. Attend meetings with city, state, and utility representatives to address infrastructure upgrades and resolve ROW issues. Manage duties across multiple areas, prioritizing tasks efficiently while covering for other technicians. Requires minimum three years of OSP or telecommunications fieldwork experience, relevant certifications, and availability for weekend and holiday on-call shifts.
