Job Summary
Locate underground utilities in compliance with all 811 dig laws by reading maps, interpreting as-built drawings, and using electronic equipment. Accurately mark utilities with paint and flags while documenting work via mobile app photos and reports. Investigate excavation-related utility damages and participate in an on-call rotation. Maintain company equipment and vehicles, working independently in all weather conditions. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years utility locating experience
- Strong knowledge of 811 laws and best locate practices
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to maintain company equipment and vehicles
- Ability to communicate effectively with excavators, property owners, and team members
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with advanced technology and proven expertise beyond basic paint and flag work
- Experience with electronic locating equipment and multiple locating methods
- Ability to read and interpret utility maps, as-built drawings, and GIS data
- Ability to accurately mark utilities using paint and flags
- Ability to document all work using a mobile app including photos and reports
- Ability to investigate and document excavation-related utility damages
