Utility Locator

Locate underground utilities for clients and property owners based on 811 tickets per 811 dig laws. Utilize utility maps, as-built civil engineering drawings, GIS information, and various pipe and electronic locating equipment. Use flags and/or paint to mark utility locations. Prepare reports, forms, and memos documenting work and issues; take photos of located utilities for each 811 ticket; investigate and document excavation-related damage. Comfortable using a cell phone-based app to record locating marks and complete all required documents. Participate in an on-call rotation and travel up to 75%. Must have a valid Driver’s License, the ability to obtain a DOT physical, and be able to pass a drug screen. Able to work in all weather conditions with attention to detail and safety, and to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, the public. Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of maintaining equipment and vehicles.
