Job Summary
Utility Locator II locates water and sewer lines and related infrastructure using GPR, Vivax 810, and metal detectors; maintains detailed records of locate results and depths; generates regular reports; adheres to QA standards and regulatory guidelines; collaborates with HCWA departments and engages in ongoing professional development to enhance locating skills. Requires a high school diploma/GED with 6–12 months of related experience, GIS software knowledge, and a valid Georgia driver’s license; preferred certifications (flagging, competent person, confined space) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of GIS mapping software
- Valid Georgia Driver's License
- Flagging Certification, Competent Person Certification, and Confined Space Certification preferred or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months from date of hire
