Job Summary
Locator role performing underground utility locate work in the field using a company-provided vehicle. Responsibilities include locating utilities (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer), marking locations, completing necessary documentation, and photographing each locate. Work is daytime, full-time with a 48-hour turnaround on many locates; overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call shifts are required as needed. Company training provided with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package. Must be able to work outdoors, pass a drug screen, have a valid driver's license, and communicate effectively; prior locating experience welcome but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position)
- Valid drivers license and a safe driving record
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
- Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners
- Computer proficiency
