Job Summary
Locate underground utilities in designated areas using a company-provided vehicle, safely and accurately marking locations for telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems; complete documentation and photograph each locate. Daytime, full-time field work with overtime, weekend, and on-call shifts as needed. Training provided; must pass a drug screen, have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions. Requires ability to read locate tickets/maps, distinguish wiring colors, and communicate clearly with teammates, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
Required Qualifications
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with technology
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Able to read, understand locate tickets and maps
- Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
- No prior locating experience required (training provided)
- Experience is a plus but not required
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Able to work overtime/weekends/on-call shifts
- Color identification for wiring
- Confined space work ability
