Job Summary
Lead Excavator Operator with pipeline experience to work under supervision of foreman/superintendent on a construction crew. Responsibilities include operating excavator for pipeline work, digging inside trench boxes, lifting and setting heavy loads (precast structures and pipe), maintaining equipment cleanliness, adhering to OSHA Trenching and Shoring requirements, reading grade stakes, attending training at HGC Academy, communicating professionally with site personnel, and performing other assignments as needed. Requires 2+ years of industry experience, ability to work extended hours including Saturdays as needed, drug/background screening, reliable transportation, and physical ability to perform duties outdoors in various conditions. Required Qualifications
- Must have experience operating an excavator for pipeline work
- Must be familiar with OSHA Trenching and Shoring requirements
- Must be able to read and understand grade stakes
- Must have two (2) years or more of industry-related experience
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM, or other schedule as may be assigned
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates
- Must be able to understand site goals and direction
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
