Job Summary
Utility Inspector to support underground gas utility projects, conducting field inspections of trenching, conduit, and related facilities (pre-, in-process, and post-installation), coordinating with utility customers and contractors, inspecting ECDA digs, responding to short-notice inspection requests, and producing inspection reports with checklists and photographs. The role requires independent field work, strong communication with engineering staff, and travel to multiple project sites in Colorado. Part-time and seasonal duties emphasize field inspections and compliance with Electric and Gas Company Standards and project drawings.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience inspecting gas utility construction, particularly trenching and conduit installations
- Working knowledge of gas utility construction standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond to short‐notice inspection requests
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field environments
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required
