Job Summary

Lead the progression of electrical design from preliminary stages through construction phases for utility-scale solar and BESS projects. Review and validate deliverables including conductor schedules, equipment specifications, grounding, and voltage drop calculations while serving as a Subject Matter Expert for DC/AC collection and MV systems. Conduct structured design reviews at key milestones, interface with customers, AHJs, and vendors to align on technical requirements, and support permitting by ensuring NEC and jurisdictional compliance. Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external partners, manage project files, and travel to sites to resolve field issues and validate installations. Balance multiple complex projects to maintain accuracy and execution across design, procurement, and construction objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education/experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in solar or power systems design
  • Working knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving history
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods
  • Must be capable of working in hot, cold, or wet conditions
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs
  • Must be physically capable of digging and back-filling trenches
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
