Job Summary
Drive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites, performing and logging daily pre and post trip inspections while maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Operate as an active crew member assisting with tree pruning, thinning, deadwood removal, cable installation, and hazardous tree removal. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Assist with job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup while abiding by safety policies. Full-time year-round employment at $22-$26/hour with excellent benefits and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid provincial driver's license. AZ or DZ license.
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
- Arborist certification or willingness to work towards.
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
- Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
