Job Summary
Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and storage racks while monitoring product supply and replenishing stock as needed. Remove items from bus tubs, sort clean silverware and glassware, and ensure supplies remain available. Organize dry storage and walk-in refrigerators, then clean work stations, utensils, floors, dumpsters, and equipment. Transport trash and distribute cans throughout the kitchen and dish area. Assist the chef with portioning, prepping, and cooking when necessary, while communicating with managers about low product levels and equipment problems. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures, including weekly maintenance duties, and demonstrate a helpful attitude to guests and employees.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM – 3AM
- Works assigned scheduled shifts
- Food handling certificate required
- Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level
- Able to move items up to 50 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet
- Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
- Able to tolerate prolonged exposure to cold and hot temps (below 40° F and above 140° F)
- Able to hear, understand, and respond to requests in a loud environment
- Able to tolerate exposure to cleaning agents and chemicals several times throughout shift
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
