Job Summary
Lead field work for utility crews under a Foreman, including installing, maintaining, and repairing water and wastewater infrastructure while operating heavy equipment. Supervise and train assigned crew members, plan and coordinate parts and supplies for work orders, and inspect all equipment before use. Prepare work orders documenting parts, hours, and equipment usage in the management system. Adhere to City policies, safety guidelines, and PPE requirements. Perform Utility Technician duties as needed. Requires a High School diploma, two years in utilities, a valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement, and a TCEQ License C Water and Collection II.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of in utilities or related field
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement upon hire or advancement
- TCEQ License C Water and Collection II upon hire
- Equipment Preventative Maintenance (8 hours) within one (1) year of hire / advancement
- Work Traffic Control / Qualified Flagger (16 hours) within one (1) year of hire / advancement
